Over the recent years, Dubai has become an important destination for art and culture lovers. Furthermore it has successfully fostered a thriving community of local and regional artists. Dubai Art scene is thriving. This is due to the truly passionate support of the resident art enthusiasts and locals. They have established hubs, avenues, districts and festivals solely focused at fostering creativity.
Most tourists who visit Dubai miss this vibrant side of our city entirely. Which is why, we at Dubai By Foot, have designed this amazing, cool walking “Dubai Art Tour”.
A one of kind walking tour which takes you through at least 3 different art neighborhoods. Once there you get to walk through galleries, studios, and artistically-inspired stores (even a chocolate factory!). This tour is a real treat for your senses and as a result you will be inspired and humbled as you engage with some pretty bold regional art. Furthermore we may even be lucky to meet with the actual artist.
This tour begins at the Alserkal Avenue in Al Quoz. Inspired by the Meatpacking District in New York City, this urban warehouse-transformed gallery cluster will change your perception of modern Dubai for good.
We will get to experience art in public places, in galleries, art exhibitions, in stores and in coffee shops. After spending 60-90 minutes here, we will head to yet another art lovers paradise; the Dubai Design District. D3 is the official home to the designer-community of the region.
Here you will witness the confluence of government efforts, formidable vision of the leaders, and transformative collaboration among artists and creative thinkers. The tour will end at the Dubai International Finance Center, which is home to the biggest and fanciest international galleries. In the months of February, March and April, during the Dubai Art week, the third location may be changed to include Art Dubai, Sharjah Art Festival or Sikka Art Festival.
