Philly Proud: LGBT History Tour of Philadelphia
It’s the city of Brotherly (and Sisterly) Love and Free Tours is proud to take you on a two hour tour of the rich and colorful history of the LGBT community of Philly, with special thanks to Thom Nichols, Bob Skiba and William Way. This tour goes beyond the bars to uncover the choirs, the clubs, the bookstores – the whole thriving community that contributes to the fabric of the city.
Join Free Tours by Foot on this two hour tour from the Historic District into the fabulous Mid-town Village, lovingly referred to as the Gayborhood! Hear stories of community, of protest, uprisings, secret clubs, and notable historic figures of the LGBT community as it grew and continues to thrive in the birth place of this nation.

Tour information
Reservations: REQUIRED. Click here to reserve. Groups of 6 or more must contact us before booking.
Where: Outside the Public Ledger Building on the southwest corner of 6th and Chestnut Streets. Look for your guide in orange with the Free Tours by Foot logo.
Duration: Approximately 2 hours. Tour distance is approximately 1.5 miles (2K).

Cost: This tour is free to take, and you get to decide what, if anything, the tour was worth when it’s done. A name-your-own-price tour is a tour for anyone’s budget.
