Q: When should I book entry to Independence Hall?
A: The National Park Service requires visitors to Independence Hall to arrive 20 minutes before their scheduled appointments.  If scheduling your visit after our tours, we recommend our guests to book their visit to Independence Hall for at least 30 minutes after our tours.  From March through September, it is also recommended that you order tickets in advance.  For more information, please visit
Independence Hall.

Q: What is an appropriate tip/gratuity?
A:
That's a good question.  Since our tours are free, and we work just for tips, it's really up to you; how you like the tour and what your financial situation is?  These are important determinents.  With that said, we average about $10 tip/person on our Freedom Rings in Philly tour and $15 tip/person on our Real Philly tour.  However, we like to think of our tours as "name your own price".  You let us know what you think.  Don't like the tour?  Don't waste your money!  Love it?  Then we appreciate whatever you feel is fair.  How can you beat that?  It's the best money back guarantee in the business.

Q: How long are the walks?
A: All of our tours are a little over one mile (1.6k) in length.  The tours are approximately 2 hours or less in length.

Q: Does the FREE Freedom in Philly Walking Tour conclude at the same place from which it starts?
A: Yes it does.

Q: Do kids like these tours?
A: Yes! All of our tours are suitable for children.  In fact, if they're able to answer correctly some trivia questions, we will provide sweets.  The route is stroller and wheelchair friendly.

Q: Where can we park near the tour?
A: The best websites that that we have found for parking is
http://www.visitphilly.com/parking/

Q: Can we bring our dog?
A: We love dogs! We welcome dogs on our tours as long as they are on a leash and are well behaved. If your dog becomes a problem, we may have to ask you to leave the tour.

Q: How much does it cost to do a private tour with Free Tours by Foot?
A:Check our "Private/Group Tours" link for details.
